One in every five children in Oklahoma grows up in poverty.
That may be hard for some of us to comprehend...but the
picture is clear. Too many Oklahoma children and
youth......gif)
- Lack needed health care
- Aren't ready to start school
- Drop out of school before they graduate
- Are involved in behaviors that put their health at risk
The Oklahoma Institute for Child Advocacy (OICA) is the
statewide 501(c)(3), non-profit corporation that works with parents,
policymakers, state agencies, community civic clubs, schools,
congregations and individual advocates to eliminate these
disparities.
This is important work! OICA promotes programs and
policies that directly improve the health, safety and well-being
of Oklahoma's children and youth in significant ways.
Please join me in contributing to this meaningful effort to
ensure the continuation of this work.
